Nothing like a negative review to spark feedback I guess. Though I think you guys may have missed some qualifiers in the post...for example: "...I only had three major issues..."

I liked Inception. I thought it was a cool concept, for all of my snark, and I absolutely adored the special effects. I didn't really mind the plot with the wife...I just felt they introduced a lot of really cool plot elements that didn't get enough screen time because of Leo's plot. And I still say the ending was lame. I would have found that ending lame without any hype at all.

Gena - interesting idea. Actually...I always thought it'd be cool (if I had money) to see a new-to-theaters film once a week or so and review it. It'd be cool to add the element of tiny posts about the pre-film trailers...Rabid Lit Majorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07853841200812887341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3934293060385161764.post-14143288430487526332011-05-02T22:03:30.351-07:002011-05-02T22:03:30.351-07:00I think that the reason that I liked Inception was...I think that the reason that I liked Inception was that I was impressed that it was handled with enough care that it made sense. It could have easily been WAY overdone so that it was impossible to comprehend, but I think it was handled carefully enough that if you wanted a mind bender, you got it, but if you just wanted a fun action film, you got that as well. There are a lot of things that could have been changed (and some things that left me going 'huh?' in the middle of it), but just subtleties like the fact that you COULD tell that it seemed like a dream even when it wasn't explicitly stated I think require a lot of craft.Jennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11084470995882440399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3934293060385161764.post-16683209374091129472011-05-02T06:54:37.421-07:002011-05-02T06:54:37.421-07:00Enjoyed the post. You should just do a review over a trailer for a movie before you see it.crazyredheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09094094282610080996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3934293060385161764.post-65060586586926646522011-04-28T19:27:11.552-07:002011-04-28T19:27:11.552-07:00I LOVED your story.
As for Inception, you have ...I LOVED your story.

As for Inception, you have some valid points, especially about the ending. However, can you imagine whah your reaction might have been if you hadn't heard all the hype? I had heard almost nothing about it except that it did really well in the box office. I loved it BECAUSE of the special effects, the general idea of the dream-in-dream plot, AND the relationship between DiCaprio's character and his wife. The ending wasn't a big deal to me - how could you not see it coming? But I loved the movie nevertheless.

This is why I barely allow myself to watch trailers of some movies or tv shows, and why I want to strangle everyone who gives away spoilers. Sometimes all the hype ruins the movie before you even get to watch it.Sarah Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13505203836904502528noreply@blogger.com
